TMS is involved in organising a variety of meetings. The AGM of the society is held each Autumn and the society participates in organising a range of events and meetings with other palaeontological organisations.
We are delighted to announce that the 2023 Annual Conference will be hosted by the University of Southampton and the National Oceanography Centre from 15th to 17th November 2023. Workshops and an icebreaker will be held on Wednesday 15th with the conference taking place on the 16th and 17th. If you would like to propose a workshop, please contact Bhakti (our Events Secretary) at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information will be circulated in the coming weeks, but we hope many of you will be able to join us. Information on previous TMS AGMs is available here.
Previous TMS AGMs
Information on the coming years AGM will be placed on this page at the relevant time. Information on previous TMS AGMs and other meetings are available here.
TMS collaborates, via the Joint Council for Palaeontology, with the Geological Society of London, the Palaeontological Association and the Palaeontographical Society to organise the annual Lyell Meetings. The themes of these are different each year, but the overall concept is to highlight the role of palaeontology in the earth sciences.
The constituent specialist groups of TMS also organise their own meetings, which are held regularly throughout the year. For details on these, you should refer to the group’s page: Foraminifera – Ostracod – Palynology – Nannofossil – Silicofossil.
Code of conduct
All TMS event participants are asked to read and agree to our code of conduct as a requirement for attending.
