Application deadline: Thursday 6th May 2021

The ERC-funded RISeR project, led by Dr Natasha Barlow at the University of Leeds, is seeking a two Postdoctoral Research Fellows (for 2.5 years each): one in Quaternary benthic foraminifera, and one in Quaternary Palynology.  Both positions will play a pivotal role in developing palaeoenvironmental reconstructions of the southern North Sea during the Last Interglacial, from cores collected offshore in summer 2020. The Research Fellows will also work alongside project partners to develop age-depth models from the collected cores and establish a chronological framework for the reconstructed inundation of the Last Interglacial North Sea.
