This Code of Conduct applies to all member and non-member engagement, both with and within TMS. Members of the Society, as well as those engaging with the Society by submitting to, or reviewing for, The Journal of Micropalaeontology and the Special Publications, attending TMS-run events or engaging with the Society on social media, are expected to adhere to this Code. At the Society events, the Code extends to speakers, volunteers, exhibitors and meeting facility staff.

Members and non-members will receive equal treatment regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, gender or sexual orientation. The Society recognises that this list is non-exhaustive and that there are many other characteristics that can be discriminated against.
The Society values the attendance contributions and presentations of scientists from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences and aims to create an inclusive environment that is free from discriminatory, bullying, harassing, or threatening behaviour – both in-person and online – for everyone.
