Information for presenters

For Oral Presenters:

  • Presentation Time: Each presenter will have a total of 15 minutes, which includes 10 minutes for your talk and 5 minutes for Q&A.
  • Slide Submission:
    • You can either email your slides to the events secretary (bhakti.shah@leibniz-zmt.de) or bring them on a USB drive.
    • If your talk is during the morning session (9 am – 12 pm), please ensure your slides are submitted before 8:20 am.
    • If your talk is in the afternoon session (2- 5 pm), please submit your slides by 12:45 pm.
    • Important: We will not accept any edits after the session has started. For smooth proceedings, we highly recommend sending your final slides a day in advance.

For Poster Presenters:

  • Poster Setup:
    • The afternoon posters session presenters should set up their poster in morning anytime before the session starts and take them down right after the poster session ends, making it available for the evening poster presenters to put up their posters. The same should be followed for the evening poster presenters. 
    • Any poster left on the board after its session end, would be taken down and put aside. 
    • Please take care of your own posters, we would not be responsible if lost. 
    • Each presenter will be assigned a number, which will be displayed on the boards. Please ensure you place your poster at the designated spot according to your assigned number.
  • Poster Specifications:
    • Posters must be in Portrait format, A0 size.
    • If you plan to print your poster near the venue, please allow enough time to ensure it’s ready before the session. There are print shops around the conference center, but please note that using their services is at your own risk. TMS is not responsible for printing.

Towards the advancement of the education of the public in the study of Micropalaeontology

The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS) exists “to advance the education of the public in the study of Micropalaeontology” and is operated “exclusively for scientific and educational purposes and not for profit”. It was initiated as The British Micropalaeontological Group (BMG) in 1970, following a proposal by Professor Leslie Moore of the University of Sheffield and several colleagues who wished to organise a group of palaeontologists with a mutual interest in the micropalaeontological study of British type sections and the provision of a forum for the communication of their results.
