58th Annual Meeting AASP – The Palynological Society joint with the 19th Simposio Argentino de Paleobotánica y Palinología (September 8 – 11, 2026, Trelew, Argentina)

The Annual Meeting of the AASP – The Palynological Society, organized since 1967 by that institution, is a key international event in the field of palynology. This scientific society, based in the United States, convenes researchers from around the world each year, addressing both fossil and modern palynology from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The event will also include thematic symposia, keynote lectures, and field trips to sites of paleobotanical, botanical, and geological interest in the region, offering a unique opportunity for academic exchange in direct contact with the Patagonian landscape.

The Micropalaeontological Society

Towards the advancement of the education of the public in the study of Micropalaeontology

The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS) exists “to advance the education of the public in the study of Micropalaeontology” and is operated “exclusively for scientific and educational purposes and not for profit”. It was initiated as The British Micropalaeontological Group (BMG) in 1970, following a proposal by Professor Leslie Moore of the University of Sheffield and several colleagues who wished to organise a group of palaeontologists with a mutual interest in the micropalaeontological study of British type sections and the provision of a forum for the communication of their results.
